Q: I purchased a horse/product listed on your site and the previous owner has still not removed the ad.
A: The first thing you should do is contact the old owner and ask them to remove the ad (if you have not done so already). If they refuse to remove the ad or do not respond, send us an email about the situation along with the username and ad title.

Q: What type of service do we provide?
A: We currently provide users with access to a rich collection of resources including various communication tools and forums, classifieds services, shopping services, personalized content, site hosting and branded programming through its network of partners and properties (the "Service"). In addition, we strongly recommend that a pre-purchase exam should be performed by the buyer's expert of choice, on any item prior to purchase. We do not guarantee or warrant the performance of any person or entity advertising on its site. We do not control the Content posted via the Service and, as such, do not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content.

Q: What are some of the Internet purchase scams to be aware of?
A: There are many, many scams on the Internet today. If you are a buyer or a seller, you need to be aware that many scams exist and it could happen to you! There are new scams developed every day, so do your homework! You can begin on our Internet Purchase Scams page for more information.

Q: How long will my ad run?
A: All ads will be shown on the site for 365 days from the day they were created. However, you may "turn off" and ad if your horse sells, or if you don't want it displayed anymore. After 365 days, the expired ads are deleted from our database.

Q: What are the specifications for a photo?
A: The photo should be in .jpg format. Our system will resize your photo either up or down to fit in the pre-determined space. But, if you have access to a photo edit program such as Photoshop, Paint Shop, or maybe the software that comes with your digital camera, its best to resize the image(s) to 340 pixels wide by 255 pixels high. The resolution should be 72dpi.

Q: My question does not show up in these FAQ's. How can I get help?
A: If you've tried to solve the problem on your own, and these FAQ's don't help you, please fill out the Contact Us form and tell us what the problem is and we will respond via e-mail.

Q: I can't figure out how to contact the owner of this horse. Can you help?
A: The owner contact form and owner contact information is located towards the bottom of the full-page horse ad. Be sure you are opening the full-page ad and not just looking at the search results list. There should be a "VIEW" button in the left column of the search list. If the horse has a photo, you can click on the photo or the VIEW button. There is also link to a full-page of information about the owner. This page contains a description of the owner's ranch or business and a zip code map.

Q: What does Private Price Mean?
A: Private Price means that the seller does not want to display the price publicly and may only release it to serious inquiries. You will need to contact them directly to inquire about the price. Thanks for using Americandreamhorses.com.

Q: Does it cost anything to REPLACE or UPDATE a photo?
A: No. There is no charge.

Q: I'm just shopping, not selling. Do I need to register?
A: Well, we'd like you to register, but it is not required. Registering allows you to have your own page where you can save your favorite horses and searches.

Q: Can I put more than one photo on an ad?
A: Yes, up to 4 photos' can be displayed.

Q: I don't want to put my real email online. What do you suggest?
A: We suggest setting up a free web-based email account at Hotmail.com, Mail.com or Yahoo.com just for your ads.

Q: Can I put an ad on for a friend who does not have a computer?
A: Yes, but you won't be able to use your own email address twice. You might want to set up a web-based email account for your friend on Yahoo.com, Hotmail.com, or Mail.com and use that on your friend's Owner Registration here.

Q: I have a used saddle or a service (etc.) for sale. Can I put it Americandreamhorses.com Classifieds?
A: Please use our tack classifieds section site for anything other than horses for sale, such as used tack, trailers, trucks, services, dogs, etc.

Q: I believe I am a victim of internet fraud. Where can I file a complaint?
A: Fraud does happen. Please protect yourself. Read the tips put out by the Internet Fraud Complaint Center. Be sure to read our Terms of Use Agreement.

Q: I sent an email to you and I have not heard a response. Are you alive?
A: Yes... alive and kickin'! We do our best to answer every email that is sent to us. We only answer emails during normal business hours, so if you sent an email over the weekend, it will not get answered until at least Monday or Tuesday following.
