Darby is very gentle but spirited with excellent ground manners. He's very respectful and isn't pushy. Darby loads easily, is good with the farrier, and his health has always been excellent. Darby will automatically pick up his foot for the farrier.Darby was trained with Clinton Anderson round penning and ground work methods since he was a three year old. He neck reins, leads on trails perfectly, is easy to catch. loves water, and will swim with his rider. Darby's been on solo and overnight rides, and in a group of horses & riders. He needs an intermediate rider. Owner needs a shorter gelding and has one he's training now. Darby is an excellent competitive trail gelding and he has lots of trail experience. He has over 700 hours on trails in the Cabinet Mountains. Darby is smooth and he can really cover the ground. Please email for more photos.
