I bought Blaze sight unseen and haven't regretted it for a minute. He is coming 4 in the spring, but acts like a 10 year old. He is very low on the spookiness scale, is easy to shoe, worm and haul, loves water and to be loved on. Blaze is a consistent ride and can always be counted on as a calm, willing riding partner. He is better at moving out when he’s by himself, but in general is a little on the lazy side which makes him good for beginners. He is user friendly and kind to his rider. In fact, if you become unbalanced while riding, he slows down by himself until you get situated again. He enjoys being ridden bareback as well as with a saddle. He is learning to sidepass, but yields his hindquarters and forequarters from the ground and from the saddle, backs easily and stops on verbal command. He is accustomed to dogs, chickens, 4-wheelers, traffic, and trail riding off the beaten path. Whether he is KMSH, TWH or a Paso cross is undetermined as he’s not registered, but his gait is smooth, and he looks a bit like a Paso when he’s racking, as his feet just pitter patter and he is very collected. When you look for a beautiful but dependable horse, registration is a bonus, but it doesn’t guarantee disposition or quality of ride. We are firm on his price as he is an amazing, beautiful young man. Blaze is for sale because our son did not get “Horse Fever” as I had hoped, and doesn’t ride him anymore.
